Announcements:
December Guild Meeting - Tuesday, December 12 Merry Christmas! It’s that time of the year again to celebrate the spirit of Christmas at our annual Christmas party and potluck carry-in! This year’s theme is “Angel’s Among Us”. Connie M, our new Hospitality chair, and her team of elves have been working hard on decorations for the room and tables. Mary Ann, Vice President, has a few surprises planned for the meeting including a basket raffle so be sure to check out the baskets when you arrive and purchase your tickets. You’ll want to remember to bring the following to December’s meeting:
In addition to the Christmas fun, Melody H our new President will be kicking off a Crayon Challenge, so look for a bag of crayons during the meeting that will guide your color palate for building a challenge quilt. More details to come. January Guild Meeting - Tuesday, January 9 You won’t want to miss January’s guest speaker, Mary Zesiger! A serious quilter since 1980, she began judging in 1996 and enjoys the challenge of competing on all levels from local to international. She will be sharing how to prepare for quilt shows and judging, plus show and tell her quilts. Learn more about this guild meeting on our calendar here. Michelle P., President and Mary Ann C., Vice President Membership It's time to pay our 2024 dues! If I feel it’s unsafe to drive, watch for an email the night before or early morning of the day.
Approximately 30 quilts will be presented between Veteran’s Day and the end of December. Regarding the Block Drive, I have not counted as of yet but we will have plenty of blocks to keep the sewers busy making quilts. I’m still collecting blocks, just bring them to the Guild meeting. Happy Sewing, Patty Hardin, QOV Chair Retreat Reminders:
Retreat Lunches: Starting at 5:30, before the Guild meeting on Tuesday, we will be collecting forms and money for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday lunches. You can pick one day, or all three, to have a delivered lunch.
