SCRAPS! SCRAPS! SCRAPS!
We are in need of your scraps. Please bring to the March meeting scraps that we may bundle for sale at the May Quilt Show. Scraps should be at least 5” square, clean and pet hair free. Will also take precuts such as 2½” strips or charm packs.
 
QUILT SHOW NEWS
At the April meeting we will be focusing on the procedures for quilt show submissions and recruiting for volunteers. It is very important that everyone attend. Also be sure your membership dues are paid for 2022. You must be an active member to submit a quilt.
 
Raffle Tickets - Everyone is encouraged to sell at least one packet of raffle tickets, whether you buy them yourself or sell to your friends and family. This is one way that we can get such great speakers. If you haven’t already received your tickets to sell, please pick them up at the Quilt Show table at the March guild meeting. PLEASE! We need everyone’s help.
 
NEWS FROM VICE PRESIDENT/PROGRAMMING
Thank you for a wonderful February evening; Deb Strain was a plethora of information and is so very talented. We hope to invite Deb back in the future. This month, March, we welcome Reeze Hanson. Her Tuesday evening program is Color Confidence for Quilters. Please join us to learn about color selection and integrating quilt colors. We will not have Show and Tell this month, but save your quilts for April since time will be devoted to sharing your beautiful creations. On Wednesday, Reeze will hold our workshop on Charm Pack Projects (Half-Hex Topper or Triangle Topper). Thank you for the amazing response for the workshop as we are full! On June 14, we will welcome Sandi Blackwell. Sandi will speak at our guild meeting and also teach a workshop, Square-agonals Twister Table, on Wednesday. The fee is $35 for MVQG members and $45 for non-members. There are five spots open before I begin a waiting list. Sign up as soon as you can!
