News from President
Just a reminder that April’s meeting is all about the quilt show and then a Show and Tell (limit two items each). Many things to touch on to get ready for the show.

Also, FYI, the Ohio One Stop Shop Hop is being held at the Nutter Center (3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy, Fairborn) on Friday, April 8, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Sherry G, President

Raffle Tickets

Just a reminder to bring in your money from sold raffle tickets to the meeting. Please push the tickets; more tickets are available if you run out. Revenue from ticket sales help us to get such great speakers at our guild meetings.

News from Vice President

Special thanks to all those who attended last month’s speaker, Reeze Hanson. Her presentation and class were amazing! For April and May, the quilt show is front and center, but if you haven’t signed up for Sandi Blackwell’s June class yet, be sure to see me at the meeting. There are some pre-cutting requirements and prep for the daylong class. $35 will secure your spot for Sandi’s class and there are still openings. Don’t forget that we will do Show and Tell in April and May.

Quilts of Valor
BIG NEWS on the national Quilt of Valor website - as of March 27, 2022, over 299,000 Quilts of Valor have been awarded!  On our way to 300,000!  Our guild is responsible for over 520 of those awarded!!  And to know that over 299,000 individual men and women who have served our country have been recognized, honored, and comforted with their quilts - what an accomplishment for everyone! It gives me goose bumps!!

Enough of the exclamation points.  This spring has brought new life in our QOV happenings - between the weather, sickness, and life-craziness, we have had lots going on behind the scenes, but weren't able to make many presentations.  That is changing now, and we look forward to honoring our servicemen and women as we continue to make and award quilts.  Hoping to start up with sew-ins again, and maybe some type of block drive in the future.  Will keep you posted!!
