Just a reminder that the December 14 meeting is our traditional carry-in dinner which begins at 6:30 p.m. See Mary Lou's announcement under Vice President's News for more details about the December meeting.
QUILT SHOW We are in need of replacements for the 2024 quilt show. Now is the time to volunteer. You will be able to shadow and learn how the show flows. Get great ideas for the 2024 show. Meet the awesome team members. You are supported in every aspect of the show….you just need to lead and delegate. If you are an organizer, like to check off lists of things to do and have the personality that pays attention to detail without being a micro manager, this is a perfect fit for you. Shari and Sherry can’t express how rewarding it is to plan the show and work with all our wonderful guild members. Shari and Sherry GUILD MEMBERSHIP Be sure to let Tere, Membership Chair, know if any of your contact information changes in order to keep our records updated. See the Retreat section for more information. NEWS FROM MARY LOU/VICE PRESIDENT Hello Guild Members! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and continued working on their Nancy Mahoney quilts or whatever other projects you have in process. Nancy said she had a wonderful time visiting our guild and teaching her classes. I opted for a table runner that I hope to have finished for Christmas. I am sure many of us are working to complete projects for the holidays; happy sewing/quilting. December marks the end of my tenure as vice president, and I wish to thank everyone for supporting our workshops and speakers. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. We have many wonderful speakers and programs coming to us in the future I also want to take this opportunity to welcome Sandy Hartz as our new vice president. Sandy already has some great ideas and is looking forward to the coming year. In the meantime, we have one meeting left this year. On December 14, we are having our traditional carry-in meal; Mary Bergseth will be setting things up for us; please bring something to share. Please note that our meeting this month begins a half hour earlier at 6:30 p.m. Upcoming meetings: December Carry-In and January Quilt-O DECEMBER: This meeting is turn-in time for the Christmas block. When you turn your blocks in, be sure to get the appropriate number of slips to enter your name in the drawing for the quilt block. You can find all the instructions and rules for the quilt block and drawing on the website and in this email. Also, at this meeting you can sign up for the Reeze Hanson and/or Sandi Blackwell workshops. You may pay when you sign up or anytime before the workshops. You can pay the vice-president or our treasurer, Kim G. Make sure to get a receipt, and if you pay by check, be sure to mark on it the name of the workshop. We will have Show-and-Tell this meeting, but please limit yourself to 2 projects. JANUARY: This month we all get to relax, socialize, and have some fun playing Quilt-O. Sandy will be explaining the rules and how she is going to run the game shortly. Look for the information.
