Quilt Show - ALERT
Wednesday drop off is no longer at 721 N. King St., Xenia It's now at 492 W Second St., Xenia from 5 to 7. Same time, just a new and better location. No Steps!! If you know of a quilter who has died after the 2018 quilt show, please contact Shari B. immediately to see if there is still time to submit their quilts. Quilts will need to have labels on them and you will need to receive a receipt/pink slip for pick up. Important reminder! It is imperative that you retain your pink slips. You will need those pink slips in order to pick up your quilts after the show. No exceptions. Shari/Sherry, Quilt Show Co-Chairs Quilt Show Volunteers To all MVQG members that have volunteered for the quilt show – well, THANK YOU!! You are all awesome. We absolutely can not do this without you. As a reminder, visit the Quilt Show website to check your dates, times and description. Your first name and last initial will be displayed where you have volunteered. Click here: https://www.quiltshowmvqg.com/quilt-show-volunteer-directory.html Kathy S, Quilt Show Volunteer Coordinator News from President Welcome Spring (finally), a Happy Belated Easter and to all mothers a happy upcoming Mother’s Day. As your co-chair to the Quilt Show, I want to say again thank you to all the volunteers. Let’s make this a successful show. See you soon. Sherry G, President News from Vice President For our May meeting, we will have a presentation on the winning quilts from our show. Sandi Blackwell will join us in June. There are still a few seats open for the Wednesday workshop; be sure to stop by and see me if you need to pay for the workshop or would like to sign up. I will also have information for our July and August meetings and speakers. Also, beginning in July and moving forward, if you sign up for a workshop and are unable to attend, you must give at least two weeks prior notice in order to receive a refund. We understand that life happens, however, this is a common practice and last-minute cancellations doesn’t allow for filling the seat. This ultimately costs the guild and causes us to pay the difference since our teachers charge a flat rate. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! Sandy H, Vice President See everyone at the quilt show. Next regular guild meeting is Tuesday, May 10, at 7 p.m. at the Knob Prairie Church in Enon. Those who received ribbons are asked to please bring their award-winning quilts to the May meeting.
