This month will be our much anticipated Quarter Auction/Basket raffle. Paddles to participate will be $2 with a limit of 2 paddles per person. Bring a friend and a roll or two of quarters and join the fun! Thank you to everyone who signed up to bring a basket or item to raffle. Please have your items there by 6:00 along with a description of what you brought. If you missed the sign up sheet, you can still bring a raffle item with you. All donations are greatly appreciated. We will also have ice cream floats available for $1. We still have a few spots available for fall Retreat. This is the last month for October retreat sign ups and ordering meals for retreat. Connie M will also be sharing information about a Mystery Retreat project at the September meeting. There will be a fall retreat committee meeting at 5:00. SAVE THE DATE! Sacred Threads - volunteer opportunity: (For additional info or questions, contact Mary Ann Clifford (724)757-7012) We had Barbara Tuscari from Indianapolis as one of our speakers earlier this year. She is the new chair for the Sacred Threads International quilt show which debuts October 30 to November 10th in Ohio at its new venue. We have had first choice to be able to assist for their volunteer spots for admissions and white glove spots. If you volunteer you get free admission to the show for the rest of the day. This is a great opportunity to make a girl's day out. Since, for most of us, it is over an hour drive, it also gives you a chance to get to know a new member or reacquaint with old friends. I have enjoyed this show since Lisa Ellis had it in Virginia. I would drive back to Virginia for a girl's adventure then. I consider it an honor to be able to support its opening year in Ohio. Please call me or see me if you have any interest in volunteering. Check it out online if you haven't already. There are guest lectures and classes to sign up for also! Registration for the Sacred Threads Experience Weekend in Indianapolis officially opened on July 1, 2025. The exhibition is open October 30 – November 9. The Experience Weekend is November 7 – November 10. For all the information and registration, visit the Sacred Threads Experience Weekend page.
